About this video: Category D: Q28-32

This section focuses on questions concerning professional practice. There is normally a little shift in the oral exam at this point as the Candidate must respond to questions regarding architectural practice in BC.

Listening for correct answers is a skill that people develop over time. It’s important to listen to a Candidate’s answers carefully for the correct concepts as opposed to exact wording as it appears on the answer sheet. If a Candidate offers a response and you are not sure whether it fulfills the requirements for a correct answer, you can rephrase the question and ask the Candidate to provide more clarity.

The following video segment gives a good example of listening to the answers provided and how the Examiners provide information to the questions (e.g. providing a scenario to the question) for clarification purposes.

Be sure to follow along with the question-and-answer tool and record the Candidate’s responses.
